Highlands, Seaside, Whisky and Castles in 3 Days!

Mary Kay and H were looking to ditch the rental car and take a Highlands tour of Scotland. They were also interested in a castle trail of the Northeast when they decided to take a week out at the Hilton Grand Vacations – Craigendarroch,  https://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/united-kingdom/hilton-grand-vacations-at-craigendarroch-suites-ABZCRGV/index.html in Ballater. They decided to book us at High Spirits Tours for a full 3-day tour tailor-made Scottish tour of the area. We managed to come up with a fantastic itinerary getting them to lots of “nooks and crannies”, visiting some fantastic distilleries and whisky bars, castles, seaside villages and stunning mountain locations over the Northeast of Scotland. Our local experience allowed us to put together a memorable itinerary for them and we were blushing with comments such as “we are so glad we found you” and “Thanks again it was worth every pence, pound, hapenny and farthing”.

We make every effort to ensure your trip is memorable and we can be flexible. We treat our guests, just as that, our guests. We want you to be happy and if you want to change the itinerary a little bit that is no problem what so ever.

We have tours already put together and can be booked now or why not contact us in our “Bespoke” section to come up with a tailor-made itinerary to make your stay enjoyable?

Here are some of the amazing locations we visited over the three days. The list is long but here are some highlights:

  • Dunnotar Castle
  • Crathes Castle
  • Braemar Castle
  • Fife Arms Hotel
  • Pennan Village
  • Royal Lochnagar Distillery
  • The Glenlivet Distillery
  • Cragganmore Distillery
  • The Linn o’ Dee

Whisky FACT OF THE DAY

The Scots took to the art of distilling with great gusto that in 1579 the Scottish government was forced to ban the use of grains for distilling purposes due to shortages and a serious crop failure!
