Jump on board and discover Edinburgh and the South of Scotland while at the same time sampling some of the areas amazing gins along the way. This tour is a gin lovers delight and we will take you to some of the brightest new distilling talent in Scotland. The tour can be tailored to your gin desires as long as the distilleries are in the area or you can come along to the following great producers: Edinburgh Gin, NB Gin, Stirling Gin and Hills & Harbour (Newton Stewart) Also included on this tour: Intriguing Rosslyn Chapel, used on the film Da Vinci Code Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots Holy Rude, hosted the coronation of the infant King James VI of Scotland, James I of England Robert Burns House (where famous Scottish Bard lived and died in 1796).

Day 1

  • Meet in Edinburgh to start the tour with a visit to the exciting Edinburgh Gin for a tour and tasting at their distillery facilities.
  • Travel in our luxury minibus to the coast to North Berwick via the Rosslyn Chapel, of The Da Vinci Code fame.
  • Visit NB Gin – Voted World’s Best London Dry Gin!
  • Make our way West towards Stirling stopping off at the breathtaking Linlithgow Palace .
  • Accommodation in Stirling area included in price. Meals and lunches not included but suggestions for excellent restaurants can be provided.

Day 2

  • After a hearty breakfast we will pay a visit to Holy Rude, where James VI of Scotland was crowned King.
  • After all the history of blood, battles and ghosts, there are  friendlier spirits at the Stirling Gin distillery to sample some of the fresh gin (Old Smiddy Distillery opening 2018).
  • We head South over the Southern Uplands towards Dumfries to visit the house where Scotland’s Bard, Robert Burns, lived and eventually died in 1796.
  • Our final gin visit of this tour is to the modern and idyllic “Crafty Distillery”,  makers of Hills & Harbour gin.
  • We end out day with a relaxing journey back to Edinburgh for late afternoon arrival.
